The NASG needs YOUR help

The National Allergy Strategy Group needs your help.

The have a Patient Case Study Report live on the site  and need YOU to join in with their campaign.

Despite the All Party Parliamentary Group for Allergy reporting little progress in treating Allergy in the UK  the situation is not improving and many people are receiving poor or inadequate care, inappropriate referrals and partitioning of treatment between disciplines rather than a patient overview.

Read "The Unmet Need" on the NASG site.

Please share with anyone who might be able to join the campaign. Get involved - things are moving in the right direction, it's just time to crank up a gear.

  1. I'm hearing more and more from friends and people locally about their lives living with food allergies but little recognition from health professionals. I hope things progress as life with a food allergy sounds pretty miserable.

  3. Sounds like a great idea. I am very thankful that no one in our family suffers from allergies.

  4. Sounds as though this is a much-needed campaign. I get the impression that allergies are on the rise, so they need to be dealt with seriously.

  6. Thanks so much for highlighting this campaign Kate. We have our very first appointment with a gastrointestinal paediatrician today (after beig fobbed off for almost 5 years!) so are at the start of finally getting to the bottom of my daughter's problems. I'll look into NASG as soon as I can.

  10. We're really lucky we haven't got any allergies, although as a test I have cut out wheat and felt that I have so much energy. It must be awful for those who have allergies that effect them in a bad way. x

    1. Yes apparently 7 in 10 kids in the UK reacts either by IgE or non Ige response both true allergies, and also indirect reactions. Not all are life threatening. It's a higher value than I had previously heard but not much higher.

  14. I've had a ten year struggle to get anywhere with the doctors with my food intolerances. I've had advice from doctors to say, " Look it up on the Internet," "Not enough research has been done into these types of food intolerances, so we can't help," and, "Quit your job, it must be the stress of that causing your problems." As well as many more. It's been hard work! Thank you for highlighting the issue.
